See the Glory: Get Doubly Condemned at Circuit City and Other Deals

Condemned 2: Bloodshot gets released into the wild today, 11 March. If the bogey bogey genre is your taste, then by all means, run out and grab yourself a copy.

However, when you’re hunting down those serial killers, wouldn’t you rather be doing it after you’ve gotten yourself an amazing deal? Certainly…you kill the sadists, you’re not one yourself.

So, when you head out tomorrow (or today if you’re lucky), head over to Circuit City where you can get a free Condemned 1 for the 360 when you get Condemned 2, while the supplies last.

What if you already have the original Condemned? Well, head over to Best Buy where when you purchase Condemned 2 you’ll get a free $10 gift card instantly. Not a bad little deal.

Either way, you’re in for some good ol’ serial killer killin’…might as well make the most of it and get a deal while you’re at it.

Rechargeable Xbox 360 Battery Pack for Cheap

Video Game Deals, Xbox 360 No Comments

The Xbox 360 cut the cords from controllers when it was released. Sure, there are some controllers that still have the cords, but we try not to think about those. They’re more like the red-headed step children of the video game world.

However, cutting the cord had one downside: controllers now eat batteries like they’re going out of style. Sad, but true.

Our savior? Rechargeable battery packs! Oh yes, they were the light in our darkness. They pulled us out of the cave and onto the plain of enlightenment.

Now your only problem is getting these bad boys for a bargain, which is why the Kraken is here to help!

Currently available at PCMicroStore.com is the 2-Pack Young Micro Xbox 360 Rechargeable 1800 MAh Battery + USB Charging Cable for $29.98 with 10% off the entire order when you use the coupon code “PCMICRO10%OFF”. This will make your total $26.98 with free shipping.

Not a bad deal seeing as how you’ll never have to purchase batteries again. Go forth and conquer!

$37 Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

At Buy.com they’re currently offering the Xbox 360 wireless controller for shillings! Mere shillings!

Well, alright, $37, but compared to the regular price of $50, that ain’t too shabby.

I’ve always had a hard time laying down the price of a game for a controller,  so if you’re anything like me, you’ll round out your collection of controllers and take your count up to four.

Go forth and propagate.

On  a side note…this is the blanco controller, not the sleek black, blue or even dodgy pink one.

Conan a Great Game According to the AP

In yet another reason to abstain from any reviews or news that comes from people who know next to nothing about games (looking at you Father de Souza and you Variety [Mario Galaxy, crap?]) comes the AP’s recent review of Conan.

And I quote, “Overall, it’s probably the best, most engaging game I’ve played all year.”

Conan. Seriously? The best game all year? Not Galaxy, Halo 3, BioShock or Mass Effect, but Conan?

This is the same game that Arnold distanced himself from because it’s just an abomination on this planet.

The review honestly goes into how smooth and elegant the game is. He’s quite fond of the story. Yup, the story in a glorified dungeon slasher. Come on, even Read the rest…

Xbox 360 HD DVD Player: $160 and 5 Free HD DVDs

Circuit City is currently offering the Xbox 360 HD DVD player (with King Kong HD DVD) for $160. That’s $20 off the regular price, which isn’t too shabby.

However, the best part is that this qualifies you for five free HD DVDs. This deal now goes from saving you $20 to saving you closer to $150 (eventually, those prices are gonna go down, I know they are).

All you need to do to get the five free HD DVDs is to fill out this form.

Head on over to Circuit City and get yourself an HD DVD player for the 360. Now those snooty PS3 owners won’t have anything to brag about. Next generation DVD technology? Check and check.

Assassin’s Creed

Assassin’s Creed. Now here’s a game that many, many people were looking forward to getting. Now that it has arrived, many people, including the gaming media, seem to love it. You know what? I’m not gonna disagree with those people who love this game, it’s a fantastic little game.

For the first three hours.

After that, well, let’s just say the variety leaves a little something to be desired. Let’s get the praise out of the way first.

Assassin’s Creed’s Story

Yes, the game is certainly unique. It’s cool, it’s fun and it even exposes us to a period in history that developers haven’t explored too often. While taking us to the Crusades, Ubisoft Montreal also made this game relevant in today’s political climate. Read the rest…

Xbox 360 Update Lets You Change Email | Loses Forums Posts

Xbox 360 Warning

As I was perusing the Internets today, I noticed this post over at Hamzeh’s Xbox 360 Den on a warning regarding the Xbox 360 update.

Truth to tell, I hadn’t paid too much attention to the 360 up to this point, because these updates are usually incremental at best. However, Hamzeh points out, if you update your 360 you can now have the ability to change the email associated with your Xbox Live gamertag.

Right on.

However, if you do change the email address associated with your gamertag, then you will lose all of your forums posts, reputation and icons earned.

So, if you’re one of those people who likes having those badges of honor, don’t change your email quite yet. A fix for this will eventually come out, I’m sure.

Amazon.com Offers Up to 50% Off Games — Amazon Rules!

PS2, PS3, Video Game Deals, Wii, Xbox 360 No Comments

Looking to score some deals on components for your PS3, 360, Wii or any other system you happen to own? How about some ridiculous deals on games?

Then get thee to Amazon!

They’re currently offering up to 50% off games and accessories.

Don’t already own Oblivion for the PS3 (come on, if you own a PS3 and not a 360, then for the love of God, I hope you own Oblivion)? Then why pay the full retail for it when you can get it for $20?

Itchin’ to get your piñata on with Viva Piñata Party Animals (I know I am)? Then why drop a full price of $50, when you can get it for $30? Seriously, that’s like busin’ open an piñata and finding $20 inside. Score!

Heck, have a Wii and want to get your full 480p out of it (oh yeah baby)? Drop on by and pick yourself up some Wii component cables for $20. Not a bad deal for not a bad system.

No matter how you slice it, Amazon is looking to make some green off gamers this holiday season. And you know what? I’m more than happy to oblige if they keep offering deals like this.
